I gave clay work a go around 6 years ago, back in 2014. I really enjoyed it but didn’t really take it anywhere, because not long after, I discovered quilling (click on quilling creations to find out more about this)
Because I had been in the crafting world for the past 5 years, I had come across lots of clay crafters, mainly people who worked with polymer clay. I was fascinated and I knew I wanted to literally, get my hands on it. I watched some YouTube videos of different clay artists to figure out how to start this craft properly. When I had done it in the past it was using air drying clay and to be honest, I’m not a big fan of that type of clay, polymer clay was what I was interested in. I went on to Amazon and ordered my first lot of clay, this wasn’t an expensive set that I had ordered as I didn’t want to spend too much just in case I didn’t take to clay work, so it made sense to get an inexpensive kit to start with.
The kit arrived and there were 24 small blocks of different coloured polymer clay, there was also a set of plastic tools too. Well what can I say, I really enjoyed playing about with the clay and making little figures with it. I soon ordered more clay, this time it was a brand name of clay, Fimo, I also got myself some decent tools and researched into what other equipment I would need, so that’s what I did. I have now been doing clay work for 7 months, since 2019, what can I say, I absolutely love working with clay. I took to it really well and before long I was getting people asking to buy what I was making. I am selling through Etsy and Facebook. Links to both of these can be found on my main website page.
Please enjoy having a look at some of the clay creations I have made so far.
There are a lot more things I’ve made, I’ll show them throughout this page once I have uploaded the photos. Please do check back, as I will be adding and updating as much as I can.
